Awaaz FM ("Awaaz FM," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at awaazfm.com, related subdomains (such as our API and admin tools), and the Awaaz FM mobile applications (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. For our rules of use, see the Terms of Service.

Information you provide

• Account information: name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). We may store email verification and password-reset tokens.
• Profile and preferences: favorites (channels, stations, shows) and similar settings associated with your account.
• Requests and messages: song requests, advertisement inquiries, and support or feedback messages you send us, including any contact details you include.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: features you use (for example listening-related activity, schedule views where logged), and interactions with in-app or web advertisements (such as impression and click events for sponsored banners).
• Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, approximate network information, IP address, and basic diagnostics needed to deliver streams and secure the Service.
• Cookies and similar technologies (website): we may use cookies or local storage for sessions, preferences, and security on the website.

Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not require precise GPS location for core radio listening. We do not knowingly sell personal information. Payment card data is not collected by the listener app for subscription billing unless we clearly introduce a paid feature and update this Policy.

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve live streaming and app features;
• Create and manage accounts, verify email, and reset passwords;
• Process song requests, advertisement inquiries, and support messages;
• Remember favorites and personalize your experience;
• Measure and deliver sponsored banners and related reporting to operators;
• Protect security, prevent abuse and fraud, and enforce our Terms;
• Comply with legal obligations; and
• Communicate with you about your account or Service updates when appropriate.

Where required (for example under GDPR-style rules), we process personal data based on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you request); legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, measuring ads we show); consent (where we ask for it); and legal obligation when applicable.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

• Service providers who help us host infrastructure, store media, send transactional email, or operate streaming—under contractual obligations to protect data;
• Advertisers or partners only in aggregated or operational form needed to run campaigns you already see in the app (for example that an ad was shown or clicked), not by selling your account profile;

App distribution platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play) may collect their own data under their privacy policies when you download or update our apps.

We retain account and related data while your account remains active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or security requirements. Request and support records may be kept for a reasonable period for operational follow-up. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it according to our practices.

• Access and update: you may review account details in the app or website account areas where available.
• Delete account: signed-in listeners can delete their account from the mobile app Profile screen. Deletion removes or deactivates your listener account so it is no longer used for active Service features. Some records may remain in backups or logs for a limited time for security and legal compliance.
• Marketing: we do not use your email for unrelated marketing without a clear basis; transactional messages (verification, password reset) are necessary for the Service.
• Regional rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact info@awaazfm.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures—including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls—to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may process and store information on servers or with providers located in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we take steps designed to protect it in line with this Policy and applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email when appropriate. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
